We strive to provide a socially and environmentally conscious culinary adventure reflecting the tastes, diversity and history of Maryland.

At Adele’s we

  • Serve seafood classified as “Best Choices” or “Good Alternatives” by the Monterry Bay Aquarium Sea Food Watch
  • Serve beef from the United States or Canada
  • Serve poultry raised within 250 miles of campus
  • Use cage free eggs
  • Seek out locally sourced fruits and vegetable as much as is practical
  • Use recylable foil to package leftovers
  • Use compostable materials for carry out orders
  • Serve water on request to reduce the energy and water needed to wash glasses
  • Compost all food waste and recycle all cardboard, paper, metal, plastic, and glass
  • Recycle used cooking oils into biodiesel
  • Use only Fair Trade coffee and Rain Forest Alliance certified tea
  • Celebrate the cultural melting pot that is Maryland by incorporating many of the diverse tastes and traditions that add flavor to our state
  • Assist Maryland students in financing their education by ensuring that 80% or mor of our staff are current students
  • Pay all non-student staff a “living wage” starting well above minimum wage
